Prom....

Hi guys so remember last night I said I would do a "come prom shopping with me" video, well that kind of never happened. I don't think I'm confident enough to record in public, yet lol. But I did settle on two dresses from a boutique, in Birmingham Bullring, called Sonique. The ladies there were so helpful in helping me choose one from the two options. They helped see what fitted my shape best and what emphasized the good bits of my figure, totes recommend them for prom, parties and wedding dresses. I got my shoes from there too and the man working there was so helpful too because I didn't want a huge heel, since I'm tall, and it was so packed out there yet he offered to go find one of the perfect "in-between" heels, which are like perfect for me by the way. I'm not going to give too much away about my dress, apart from the fact it is a black one with sliver embellishments. I bought my bag from TK Maxx, I went there first to look for a dress. There was a nice black and gold one but I thought I've already got my silver glitter and all so I saw a bag I liked and I said to my mom, if no bag matches it well enough at Sonique I will come back to buy it, which I did. I don't really want to give much details but I got a tiara too!
Anyways short post for today because that's all I gotta say so I shall talk to you guys very soon :) xxx

Prom Excitement

Hi dudes and dudettes :D How's everyone doing? I'm pretty excited because prom is very near for me :D For my school it's 28th June. I know a lot of schools in other places like the states have had their proms have already happened but in England I think most schools have prom May/June/July so yeah.

Wohoo my prom ticket! :D Lol it looks alright I guess haha but yes that is my ticket. I got it about 2 weeks back I think.
Any ways so it is now half term holidays so yays and my prom shopping is to start in this 1 week of school. My mom said we might probably go shopping tomorrow, if my dad don't go out anywhere, to kind of get it out of the way. So very excited about that. Only downside my mom wants to be in town around 12-1pm, around that time and I kind of have this issue where I like to sleep till 3pm on weekends. But I'm still going to make sure I'm up. I kind of know what kind of dress I want. Since I'm like tall and thin, I'm going for a slim fitting long gown and I like the idea of it being black with silver embellishment, since I have already planned the makeup etc. So going to be going to two shops, I think, and see what I like. And great news, I'm going to do a "Come prom shopping with me" video, so stay tuned for that. I will have a whole prom edition series thingy as well so stay tuned for that too.

So that is all for now and I shall talk to you guys very soon bye :) xxx

Green Tea Obsession....

Hi guys, what's going on? How ya'll doing?
I had my first like "finals" exam today but that's like a whole different topic, I might do a post on that. So anyways I have started drinking green tea since the beginning of this week because I am fed up of relying on pills to improve my skin. So today I shall be talking all about this wonderful substance GREEN TEA!

To start of, let's get into the science of things.
Green tea is made from something called Camellia sinensis and basically the leaves of this plant are able to produce this popular tea. It  has undergone minimal oxidation during processing. Green tea originates from China but has slowly made its way to the west, where it has grown to be very popular. It has been scientifically proven that lower risk of developing heart disease and certain types of cancer.

Now onto how it helps the skin. Green tea is known for its high antioxidant content, mainly due to the polyphenol antioxidant epigallocatechin gallate or EGCG for short. One study used  biopsies of the skin which found that those with acne had reduced glutathione activity in their skin. Another study also found that blood levels of different markers of oxidative stress was higher in those with acne than those without. If you drink tea regularly, I do pretty much everyday, it is suggested to switch to green tea as it will help if you drink it regularly.

I have heard that it is not all about just drinking it, it is also about physically applying it to your skin, which I hopefully will be trying tomorrow. It is one of the most natural ways to help in the mission of achieving flawless and brighter skin.

Okay so when it comes to applying it straight to your skin there are a few ideas I have. The one I will be trying tomorrow is make your cuppa and take out the tea bag, obviously. Leave it to be cool enough till you can handle it and cut open the top and empty the contents into a bowl. Then add a tablespoon of honey to it. Honey is good for this as it helps to heal acne. Mix it all together and it'll become a nice smooth consistency, which you can then apply to your face using  clean fingers or a clean old foundation brush. Leave it on for around 10-15 minutes, wash off and don't forget to moisturise.
You can also add rice flour to have reduce scarring. I saw a video from Bubzbeauty based on this, a few days go, so check that out below for more in depth details:

Okay I still got a few more tricks :D

One thing you could do is make a green tea steam facial. Now when I was reading this, it sounded really awesome and  may just try it some time soon and tell you guys what it's like but if any of you try it, do let me know what it was like. So basically boil some water and pour it into a large bowl. Take a green tea bag, cut it open then pour the contents into that hot water. Take a towel and place it over your head. Then bend over the bowl, making sure your face isn't very close to the water, but close enough to feel the steam. Stay under for only five minutes.

One last tip is to use a green tea cleanser in the morning. Now to look glowing a fresh faced before heading to school or work add some green tea to your daily cleanser. Add the tea bag into boiling water, wait till its cool enough to handle, cut open the top and empty the contents into a small cup or bowl. Take the facial cleanser, cream cleansers are the best as the creamy texture and he green tea will combine well together, and spoon about 2 tablespoons of the cleanser into the cup and mix it all together with the spoon. It should look like thick white cream with LOTS of green flecks in it. Spread it on your face, leave it on for 5 minutes and you can go pick out your outfit, make your bed or sort out your bag as you wait then just rinse it of and continue with your skincare routine.

Okay so that's all the tips I have and I hope they help. All in all, green tea tastes awesome, with honey in it otherwise it's kind of bland, so why not make the switch. I'm not even kidding when I say I will not be going back to the normal ol' cuppa any time soon.

and of course everything I already knew from my mind :D

I hope you enjoyed this post and I shall talk to you guys very soon :) xxx

P.S. Sorry it's late, I like started writing this 3-4 days ago and it is going up now but I just couldn't write it well enough and I wanted it to be to a good standard so I thought I'd put it up late rather than being on time with low quality writing so yeah that is why I am late...

Try it the heat-free way....

Hi dudes and dudettes lol ignore.... Any ways I started writing a post yesterday, which you will see in a day or two because it is turning out to be harder than I expected. So like I put up a new video a few days ago. A friend from school asked me to put the link on my blog as she reads that like more so I decided to make a post about it.

I know I can't be bothered to straighten my hair all the time or even to use the curling iron so I like to do heat less methods to prevent all that heat damage and save time. So if you'd like to see how I get bouncy curls check out the video below:
Once again I hate the stupid thumbnail. Like ew but oh well. Here it is, my special ICT buddy ;) you know who you are and of course for all my wonderful readers too.
I shall catch up with you within a day or 2 on a fascinating food/drink related post. Talk to you guys soon :) xxx

Having a bit of a lazy day...

Hi guys how are you lot doing? I'm alright, just little ill, t.o.m that's why haha. It's like 9.30pm whilst I'm writing this, I've done a bit of revision so decided to stop and write a bit. Feels good to escape from revision for a while too, even though I ain't done much today. But yes today has pretty much been a lazy day for me. I woke up at around 2pm, had breakfast round 3pm-ish, had lunch at 5.30pm I think and I have literally been chilling in my PJ's all day -_-

As you can see I look pretty dead, yeah I'm drained today, I feel so ill, like no lie. I can't even explain how ill I feel, it is like so bad. I have literally only revised one topic from one subject. I can't concentrate today lol. I shouldn't be laughing because I'm like 10 days away from the exams so I should be in like 100% excel mode but oh well it's just one day, it can't make that much of a difference right?

But hey I figured out a new way to wear my fringe. My hair is at that stage where it is kind of greasy but I'm too tired to wash it and since I wasn't going anywhere today, I did some experimenting. I just kind of woke up and saw my hair to the side so I sprayed it with some dry shampoo and brushed it out and kept it to that side and ended up with this, which I kind of like. My front fringe was looking a bit odd today thanks to my grease-ball hair haha so I just did this. Plus my awesome hair stylist, Shabnum Khadim, did say that the length of my fringe is good enough to push it to the side and end up with side swept bangs, it's all in the way I style it I guess.

Erm I'm not sure what to say now really. I just felt like talking to you guys because I've been feeling low pretty much since I woke up so yeah feeling better now. It just feels good to know people who genuinely care about what I say are actually reading.

I wish I could like hug every single one of you guys but I can't so I thank you all from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog posts and making me feel that my opinions are important. Haha sorry for going onto the emotional side but just had to mention it.

Anyways as always, that is all for now and I shall talk to you guys very very soon :* xxx

Here's To Never Growing Up...

Hi people of the Earth. Sorry ignore, feeling a bit hyper tonight. How's everyone doing? Surprisingly I'm actually doing good considering I'm stressed out too. So I got a request to do a music post about a particular song and that song is AVRIL LAVIGNE - HERE'S TO NEVER GROWING UP. So exciting!! I was actually going to do a post about this at some point so I decided to do it today. As you may already know Avril Lavigne is like my all time favourite singer. She is just so fricking awesome, has amazing fashion sense and is totally humble and down to earth. Now the song is typical Avril style, upbeat and obviously a few "inappropriate" words lol I guess.
Here is the video that's been put up on the AvrilLavigneVEVO channel, it's a pretty good video, to be honest.

I will warn you guys, this song isn't for everyone, it's not like fit to everyone's musical taste. I mean personally I love the song and have been listening and singing it for the past 2-3 weeks. I don't really know how else to describe the song, I'm really bad at describing songs. All I've got to say is that it is one heck of an awesome song and if you're into this kind of music, I suggest listening to it because you just might love it, like I do. If you love, awesome!! If you don't, well eh, that's your opinion :)
So I hope you've enjoyed this and talk to you soon :) xxx
